UK Online works hard to make the Internet a safe and enjoyable experience for all our users. To minimise potential dangers, we do not supply newsgroups or chatrooms. We provide all UK Online Internet accounts with access to free Spam filtering and parental control software.
What is the Internet Watch Foundation?
As part of the Easynet Group, we are founder members of the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) - the only authorised organisation in the UK which provides an internet 'hotline' for the public to report their exposure to illegal content online, and also aims to minimise the availability of potentially illegal content.
What is the Virtual Global Taskforce?
We also actively support the work of the Virtual Global Taskforce safety initiative - an alliance of international law enforcement agencies working together to make the Internet a safer place for children. The Virtual Global Taskforce delivers crime prevention and crime reduction initiatives to prevent and deter individuals from committing online child abuse.
We are committed to working closely with government, industry, and law enforcement agencies to improve online safety for everyone.
