UK Online Shortlisted for Marketing Week Award
We were shortlisted for Marketing Week Effectiveness Awards for all our hard work in promoting UK Online 8Mb and our £9.99 a month 500Kb service. The short list is a veritable who's-who of companies who've demonstrated imagination and progression. We were also the only technology brand to be shortlisted, along with three well-known telecoms companies.
ISPA awards in February 2005
During the ISPA awards in February 2005, we were awarded a Commendation for Innovation, for delivering "fast and reliable Internet access to the UK across the board, and for impressive innovations in speed."
The ISPA judging panel also gave us the top spot and a nice, shiny award for Metered Dial-Up services, for offering "the best price and collection of value added services for metered connectivity." In fact, we were shortlisted in every category we entered, including Best Unmetered Dial-Up, Best Light Consumer Broadband and Best National Consumer ISP.
UK Online is a truly British ISP, offering Internet Access services across Britain, and with a UK-based customer support centre.
We are committed to helping to develop the UK Internet industry as members of the Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA).
UK Online is also involved directly with the community on local, regional and national levels:
From 2004 through to the end of 2006 UK Online sponsored the British Olympic Association and Team GB, demonstrating our commitment to British sport, and the development of young athletic talent in Britain.
Our partnership with Team GB extended through the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics, 2006 Turin Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and we provided the Team GB athletes with free broadband to enable them to get online and keep in touch with friends and family faster, freeing up more time for their intensive training and preparations for The Games.
As part of the Easynet Group, UK Online also supports Outward Bound®, the Trust providing developmental adventure breaks to some of the UK's underprivileged young people.
UK Online employees have many opportunities to directly support the Outward Bound Trust, including several who ran the London Marathon in April 2006.
