    What equipment should I choose?

    The Broadband Modem is ideal for slower speeds like 1Mb**, being used by only a single PC. If you have several computers, or want to connect wirelessly, choose either the Wireless Ethernet Router (for ADSL speeds up to and including 8Mb), or our new ADSL2+ Wireless Router (required for 22Mb ADSL2+ Broadband). Please note we do not allow customers to purchase our hardware once they have signed up with us.

    What if I want to use my own modem or router?

    We think it's best that you use one of our modem or routers - our support staff are trained on these, so they can help you if you get stuck when you're setting up your broadband. Of course, if you think you can handle it. by all means use your own (but please make sure if you are using your own modem, it is a broadband modem, and not a dial-up modem - they won't work!)

    On our 22Mb service, we require that you buy our ADSL2+ Wireless Router, as many ADSL routers are not compatible for use on ADSL2+ broadband (the new technology that makes it possible for you to go faster than 8Mb.) We have tried and tested the ADSL2+ Wireless Router with our customers, so you can be sure that it is the best option to use on UK Online 22Mb Broadband.

    * Our ADSL2+ Wireless Router must be purchased when joining our up to 22Mb service and is only available for sale on this speed.

    ** Please note the Voyager 105 is not compatible with Windows Vista.
